Even if you’re new to the world of Internet marketing, you’ve no doubt heard of private label rights, or PLR. PLR is just another kind of usage license that some providers grant with their content. Usually the buyers of PLR have the right to edit, modify, or rework the content in any way they choose. About the only restriction you’ll ever see on PLR is that you can’t sell it as PLR to another buyer. Other than that, the ideas are limitless.

Here are five things you can do today to begin making money with PLR.

1. Publish an eBook. Take a bundle of articles about a topic and compile them into an eBook. You can – and probably should – edit the articles, then organize them into chapters. Craft an introduction and a conclusion, add a cover, and viola! You’ve got an ebook that you can now offer for sale.

2. Create a special report. A special report is similar to an ebook, but it’s generally shorter. Typically, marketers use special reports as a give-away to help build up a mailing list. The reason both Google and readers love them is that they are constantly updated with new content. The trouble is, keeping up with a demanding posting schedule can be a real bear. Enter PLR. You have to make sure you list a benefit, though. Don’t just say what the product does, say how it will help the reader. Before writing the letter make a list of everything your product does, choose the best and put it in the headline.

Use Your Sub-Headline To Explain The Interesting Statement You Made In The Headline.

The sub-headline after the main headline is the second way to start a great sales letter. Be sure to use the sub-headline to build on the headline.

The headline can be a claim that seems too good to be true. Use the sub-headline to back up and explain the claim to make it more believable.

Make an Immediate Connection

Making a connection with the reader as soon as you can is the last tip. This includes the headline. A connection in the headline, if possible, is best. If it’s not possible to make a connection in the headline, make one in the copy just underneath. Blogger makes it easy to present your blog on its own domain without blogger.com in your URL.  Many people prefer to present their blog without the blogger name in their URL.  If you’d like to use blogger but don’t want their name in your domain, here’s how to do it:

Step 1.  If you don’t already have a domain name, like www.myblog.com, you’ll need to get one and register it.  It can be a .com, .net, .org or any legitimate address.  Note: you do not need to pay for hosting services, only purchase a domain name.

Step 2.  Now you need to create a CNAME record for your domain with the DNS, Domain Name Server, associating your domain with ghs.google.com.  Each domain registration service has their own instructions on how to do this.  Blogger.com lists directions for changing your CNAME for several domain registrars like GoDaddy and 1&1.  If your domain registration service isn’t listed at Blogger, contact your registrar to find out how to do it.  It’s normally a fairly straightforward process.

Step 3. Change your blog settings.  Now you will need to get into your blog’s settings and change them so that the correct blog shows up when people visit your site.  Get into your blog’s dashboard and click on “Settings”.  On the toolbar across the top you’ll see several tabs.  One of them is labeled “Publishing”  Go ahead and click on that.  Now you’ll see it says “You’re publishing on blogspot.com” and below that it says “Switch to custom domain”  Go ahead and click on that.  Enter the domain you registered and you’re good to go.  Sometimes it takes a little while for the redirect to kick in so give it a day or two.  If it still isn’t working, make sure you entered your DNS changes correctly.

Your blog should now be shown as having its own domain.  Congratulations!

WordPress is a free blog hosting service.  If you want to have your blog hosted on its own domain, you will need to first purchase a domain and then pay for the upgrade to map your domain.  WordPress offers it as a package for $15 or $10 for each.

Step 1.  Buy your domain name if you don’t already have one.  To do this, log into your blog and get into your dashboard.  Click on “Options.”  Then click on Domains and enter the domain you’d like to have.  If it is available, you can purchase it and map it to your WordPress blog.

Step 2.  If you own a domain through another registrar, you will need to change your DNS settings to redirect it to WordPress.  Visit your registrar and change your settings to the following:

ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com

If your registrar needs the IP addresses:
72.232.101.25
208.69.182.198
72.233.2.19

Step 3.  Wait.  It can take up to three days for the mapping to go into effect.  You can check the status by visiting http://dnsstuff.com.  In the top right you’ll see the DNS Lookup box.  Enter your domain name. If it says wordpress.com nameservers then you’re ready for the next step.  If it doesn’t, check back later.

Step 4.  Once your nameservers have been changed, get into your blog’s dashboard.  Click on “Options” and then get into “Domains”  Place your domain name in the box and click, ‘add domain to blog’  Now you will see an option that says “Put Blog Here.”  Go ahead and click that and you are done!

Hosting your WordPress blog on your own domain is a great way to add value to your site and give it a professional custom appearance.  It takes a little bit of time and patience, however once your blog is up and running all you have to do is blog.
