I Think I’m in Love…Dragon Naturally Speaking

Below is my take on the latest software that I’m totally falling in love with.
I recently purchased the software called Dragon naturally speaking. The software is a speech recognition program that you install on your computer.
The version I purchased is the most recent, version 10 standard, which is compatible with Windows Vista. I had no trouble installing the software onto my computer a few days ago and am just really trying out this program right now. In fact, what you are reading now is exactly what the program is producing into my notepad program for me.
As you can see, it is doing rather well at determining what I am saying without many mistakes, a great thing with my New Hampshire accent.
I purchased a program to help me with various projects, such as writing articles, responding to e-mails, creating how to instructions for projects I else source and I’m also going to give it a shot on answering forum post at different websites.
The biggest reason I decided to try this software out is to give my wrists a break from typing. Since I do a lot of graphic designing and typing with my online businesses my wrist has been suffering the consequences. I’ve been finding myself having to use ice packs more and more of my writing hand than ever before, so this was the deciding factor for me to give Dragon naturally speaking a try.
I’m very impressed by what I’m seeing so far and if you look through this post as I mentioned earlier there are hardly any mistakes at all, which I must say I thought I would be editing a whole lot.
I’ll keep you posted as I start to use this program more and more. Right now I’m actually typing this part of the post, but I could have easily spoken into my mic instead… ![]()
