Tips When Visiting Forums

If you frequent forums you probably know that they can provide you with website traffic, if done correctly, as well as provide a sense of belonging to a community.
Here are a few tips that I wanted to share with you. Of course each forum has it’s own set of guidelines so you must be sure that you are doing things that are acceptable.
1. Attention grabbing signature - Create a signature file, if allowed, to the forums that you participate in and add a short line of text linked to a product or website that you’re promoting that will grab the readers attention.
One important thing is to make sure that the signature line relates to that particular forum’s subject. For example, if you’re at a forum that is involved around chevy hot rods, the members will most likely not be interested in clicking on your signature line that says “Potty Train Your Kids in 15 Days”.
2. Limit your time: Forums can be very addicting and can suck up many hours of your day if you let it consume you. Set a goal for yourself as to how long you will visit each forum and stick to it. This is one I need to work on myself :). If needed grab a timer and set it for a certain amount of minutes. Once that time is up move on.
3. Posting: When posting a reply or adding a new message make sure that they offer some sort of value to the readers. By offering value other readers will find you interesting and want to either find out more about you by clicking on your signature link, viewing your forum profile or doing a search on the web.
This is just a few quick tips to think about when visiting forums. If you want to grab even more tips that will help you improve your traffic even more visit Forum Traffic for WAHMS.
