Internet Business Equals No Work or Money Required

How do you like that for a post title?

Some of you that run Internet Businesses are saying “WHAT”, she must be crazy!

Now let me explain.

From time to time I receive emails from other moms that want to work online from home and they ask me various questions, but in the end the conversation usually goes something like this:

“Wendy, I want to work from home on the Internet to be with my kids and also provide some income for the family as well”.

Awesome, I tell them. We usually then discuss what they have experience with, what kind of things are interesting to them, etc. I try to provide them with some guidance and direct them to some sites to look at that may be of interest to them. The response is something like this:

” Wow, that looks like a lot of work. I thought I could start an Internet business for free and that it wouldn’t require much time”

Well, in any serious business you need to spend some money to make some money and it takes a lot of HARD WORK.

I try my best to steer theses moms in the right direction to avoid many of the mistakes that I made over the years when I was in their shoes, but sometimes it feels like they want me to send them a magic CD that they can pop into their computer and “PRESTO” - an instant, no work involved, Internet business is born (and let’s not forget the free hosting account with ads all over it).

Thank goodness some of these moms understand that it isn’t instant and it takes a little bit of money and a lot of hard work to start out online. I know they are taking it seriously and want to succeed. It puts a smile on my face to know that I’ve helped them out in some way.
