When you begin to join affiliate programs you will crave organization over clutter. By planning and having a central organization system you will be able to save plenty of time by being able to click on one page to get all your sales results.

You will want to have some information handy and reachable within a second.

Set up a page where you can have all of your necessary stats and information listed.

Protect your important information by having login information and passwords for this one page.

Keep all of your affiliate links for each product you are selling in one place as well.

If you are running certain ads elsewhere you will need to keep a log of where and when they run.

There is software you can purchase that will track all of this information for you.  They can be pricy but effective and can sort through your links and affiliate tracking.

Spreadsheet programs like Excel can be a good way to track all of your information. You can create your own spreadsheets and use different colors, columns and fonts. Spreadsheets allow the user to sort through data and perform a variety of other functions.

Website statistics can also give you valuable information about your website and can help you identify which marketing strategies are proving more effective. Your website stats can tell you how many visitors you have each day, month or year. They can also show you the top visited pages, as well as the top exited and entered pages. If you notice a certain page is driving people away from your site, you can then change it around a bit.

Many of the affiliate programs out there will provide a section where you can then log in and see the number of clicks you are receiving on a weekly or monthly basis. You will be able to identify which programs are more valued than others. Ad tracking services have proven to be valuable and can be quite helpful if you are trying to promote a certain affiliate program by taking an ad out in an online ezine or other various forms of advertising. The URL of your product that you will promote and any other information will be inputted into the ad tracker so it can track it. You will be able to see if the advertisement you purchased was worth the money you spent.
