Which Do You Prefer - Mac or PC?

March 1, 2007 · Print This Article

It’s time again for me to purchase a new computer for my business.

I have always been a PC user but with recent ads I’ve been seeing and articles about the new Windows Vista program compared to Macs I just had to take a look to see what Apple has to offer. They look pretty cool and I even drove 45 minutes away to have a look at one close and personal at my nearest Circuit City. I couldn’t believe how small their Mini Mac is - just too cute for a computer.

Anyway, I’m up in the air as to which route I should take this time - PC or Mac. If anyone out there has had experience with both I would love to hear your opinions as to which one you prefer and why.

Hah! Good question I have both and I still can’t decide. As a matter of fact, I’m writing this from my Mac because I’m posting to my blogs and the Mac version of the publisher software I use is much better than the PC one.

Mac lovers will say Mac all the way, PC lovers will say PC all the way. To me, it’s more of what gets the job done.

They both have their strong points. I’m not even sure how to express it. But I can tell you one thing I do like about Windows that I wish Mac were. Windows is more ‘helpful’ although some people do not like the helpfulness. Whenever I need to do something or can’t remember, a quick hover over a feature or help search usually gets me in the right direction.

On my Mac, I’m so lost! Yes it has to do a lot with lack of familiarization but that’s the problem. Everything is so ‘cool’. But cool doesn’t give me instructions. I try to find out what some tools are for and I have no clue! I must not be smart of cool enough to use a Mac :)
Much of the reason I like my Mac is because it’s my laptop :), tiny and so portable, love it to death and it’s nice and cool (as in cold) too. I like how my videos just play. I like how easily I can move my files to the PC and connect to them.

Yet, 90% of Internet Marketing software is made for PC. So I won’t be giving up my PC. I like both :-)

Got something to say?
