PLR versus MRR

By Wendy On July 1, 2009No Comments

Internet Marketers will always be looking for rapid methods to give information to their particular market in the most efficient way possible. One way to do this quickly is by getting PLR or MRR rights. One thing though, is that it’s critical you understand why these two are different. When you know the difference you’ll be able to decide which one will work best for you and your business.

You need to make that choice, and make it based on what you’re going to need your content for. If you wish to sell a product, then chances are you’ll wish to get the master resell rights, as they will be adequate for your purposes.

However, MRR products will usually not allow you to change the content at all. So, if you want to put your name on it, add your own affiliate links, or change the content in any way, PLR content would be the best choice.

You’ll also find that there is a huge difference in the delivery of the files. PLR is usually a .doc which allows for maximum customization, and you can even combine multiple PLR’s to make an eBook that you can sell to your customers.

Master Resell Rights content sometimes allows you to put your own name on it as author but beyond that is restrictive. The price you can sell the eBook for is limited by the license which specifies the lowest and highest prices you can charge for the product.

When it comes to choosing between PLR and MRR products, it comes down to what you want to use it for. If you plan to distribute an eBook so that it goes viral and generates traffic to your website, then the best option is PLR. MRR licenses tend to be a lot more restrictive in how they can be distributed, priced and altered.

But, if the MRR license permits you to utilize the content freely, then it’s a great way to promote your business.

Nevertheless, if you want the most choice in how you can use your content, go with PLR. Another good reason to choose PLR is that it is usually cheaper than MRR. Private Label Rights products offer a quick and easy way to get content for eBooks, articles, websites etc. Even though another person did the work, you get to say it’s yours and use it as you will. That’s a pretty great deal!

The Benefits of a PLR Membership

By Wendy On June 26, 2009 No Comments

i like the mock up screen of this laptop, it's a lot of fun
Internet marketers who are smart and confined by a budget know that a PLR membership is the best way to get great eBook articles, and more of them each and very month. There’s a lot of advantages for having useable PLR sent to you through e-mail, or downloaded from it’s site each and every month.

Writing is just one of those jobs online which needs to be learned or outsourced. You may not be a natural writer, and you may have doubts about your ability to make good website content. You may be a good writer, and just can’t find the time to do it. If this is the case then you would do well to go with some PLR content.

A common problem with PLR is that the quality can decline or raise depending on which source you are getting it from at the time. If you Google your nice and PLR, then you’ll find lots of things that you can use. But if you do that you’ll need to rewrite all the time because the information just isn’t written well, or it no longer applies.

Alternatively you could hire a freelancer, which will work just fine if you happen to have the money. If you’re just starting out though, you’ll likely be on a very tight budget, so how on earth do you get decent content ad a decent price?

The solution to this problem is to get a membership at a decent PLR site. There are a lot of clear benefits to subscribing to a PLR membership website. The first advantage is that they restrict how many licenses are sold. Some websites would just sell a PLR package to 200 members rather than 2000. This is a good thing, because it means that there won’t be that many duplicates of your content circulating. You won’t have to change much of the content in that case, but you will still have to change some.

An additional advantage to signing up for a PLR website is that the owners of the site usually make sure that you only get the highest quality content. Most of the packages have a thirty page report, a brief viral report that consists of about six pages, some articles, and a sales letter.

Finally, a PLR membership site provides the tools an internet entrepreneur needs to put together a niche website, complete with sales, marketing and information pages, in only a matter of days. A key to internet marketing success is getting up and running as quickly as possible. Your monthly PLR pack makes it easy for you to promote a brand new product every single month.

The cost for these memberships will vary, they can be $27 per month or as much as $199 per month, but you need to think about the things that you’re getting for your money. PLR is a great way to grow your website and you’ll find that you’ll get all kinds of things for your site, blog, or anything else that you’re creating. You could even get decent sales letters, and content that’s worth over $1000 that will help you to make that kind of money and more.

One issue that you’ll find is that there aren’t very many of these PLR membership sites, so naturally if you find one you should take it as quickly as possible, as the opening won’t stay open for very long.

What is PLR and What Can it Do for Your Business?

By Wendy On June 23, 2009 1 Comment

Mobile broadbandIf you’ve been in the internet marketing business for more than a couple of months, you’ve run across something called PLR. You may not be sure what this is or even what it stands for. As it happens, PLR stands for Private Label Right (not to be confused with the UK’s Public Lending Right, which is very different). What does PLR mean and what are the differences between this and other license agreements like Master Resell Rights (MRR) – and for your purposes, does the distinction matter?

PLR is a standard for licensing rights applying to intellectual property. This could be written content as well as audiovisual materials. The license allows you to use this content in any way you see fit once you’ve purchased the material.

Someone wrote, designed or recorded this content. However, they for one reason or another have decided against selling these products themselves and they license it to other people or businesses to market and sell instead.

There are different types of PLR websites. Some require memberships to access the content others do not. Membership sites limit the number of buyers for certain information products, however not all the content you get will be relevant to your niche. When you buy content from PLR sites that do not have memberships, you are able to choose content specific to your niche market. That way, your hard drive doesn’t fill up with useless files.

The PLR license applying to the material will explain exactly what you can and cannot do with this content. The best PLR content is material which has an unconditional use license so that you can do anything and everything you want with it. You can use it as is, rewrite, remix and alter it in any way you see fit. You can even turn around and sell this content to others!

However, unconditional PLR may have a restriction – that you can’t on-sell it as PLR to others. Take the time to find the best PLR for your needs. Carefully read the licensing agreement; if they don’t suit, don’t purchase the product.

Try to get a sample of the text before buying, so you can see the quality and find out how many times it has been used on the internet. By simply Googling some of the text (in quotes) you can discover how many other people have used the content.

Unconditional private label rights content can save you a lot of time and money. You can choose to spend a great many hours creating information products yourself, pay a lot money to freelancers to do the work for you, or get top quality PLR content for only $50 to $200. So, if you value your time and money, PLR could be the best solution.

Mom Market Rocks – Top 10 Reasons Why

By Wendy On June 9, 2009 No Comments

Did you know that companies are spending billions of dollars every year marketing their products to Moms? If you’re in the Mom market yourself, you know you’re in the right place. If not, then why aren’t you?

Services like Mom PLR eBooks make it easy for you to tap into this market, too. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of room, as you’ll see in our Top 10 reasons why the Mom market rocks:

1. Moms make up a huge market. There are over 80 million Moms in the United States, with 1.4 million new Moms giving birth for the first time every year (US Census).

2. Moms send a lot of money. Moms spend $1.3 trillion every year (Marketing to Moms by Maria T. Bailey, 2002). Have I mentioned the Mom market is huge?

3. Moms make a lot of buying decisions for their homes and families. Moms account for about 50% of spending on consumer electronics, food, health and beauty aids, home furnishings, and clothing (MRI, 2004). If you’re still looking for products to promote to the Mommy market, let this guide you.

4. Moms are web savvy. About 70% of Moms surveyed say they use the Internet to research before buying products (Marketing to Moms, 2002).

5. Moms like to shop online. The majority of Moms say they buy products online (Marketing to Moms, 2002). I told you, you’re in the right place. Internet marketing is the way to go!

6. Moms read their Email. Moms check their Email messages all day long (Lucid Marketing & BSM Media). Whoever said Email marketing was dead, was wrong.

7. Moms take Email messages to heart. 71% of Moms say their buying decisions are influenced by Email messages (Lucid Marketing & BSM Media). Not only do Moms read your Emails, they act on them, too.

8. Moms make things go viral. 80% of Moms say they forward useful Emails to their friends (Lucid Marketing & BSM Media 2004). So make your Emails useful!

9. Moms buy, not only for their spouses/partners and children, but for their parents as well. Up to 40% of Moms reportedly are involved in purchases for their aging parents (Marketing to Moms Coalition, 2007). This is a wonderful insight – let’s remember that Moms are somebody’s children, too.

10. Moms rely on their communities or tribes. 64% of Moms say the recommendations of others influence purchases they make for their home (Marketing to Moms, 2002).

Moms are the chief financial officers of their homes (and many have their own businesses as well). They buy a lot of stuff, both online and offline. They rely on other people to make up their minds about what to buy, and they appreciate getting really useful information that makes their lives easier.

What’s the take-away lesson for marketers here?

You better be marketing to Moms and you better be doing it properly. Moms are craving useful information – are you providing it? Moms PLR eBooks can help you give Moms the content that they’re looking for online. You’ll get high-quality content written just for Moms, to use in your websites, infoproducts, Emails and more. Use coupon code “momsrule” (without quotation marks) to get $10 off your first month of membership.

Give Moms content and products they love and they’ll spread the word for you. Moms ROCK!
